Pala attributed the improved financial results to an increased capacity utilisation rate and reduced consumption of imported naptha . Last year, the olefins plant achieved a utilisation rate of 98 per cent, 15 per cent higher than in 1996, and produced about 560, 000 tonnes of olefins products.
